Dr Hester van Monsjou

General ENT Surgeon, Hawke's Bay, NZ

Hester is a general ENT surgeon originally from Amsterdam, now based in Hawke’s Bay. She completed her medical degree at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and her specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). She also holds a PhD in Head and Neck Oncology from the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital. Hester is a general ENT surgeon with a special interest in ear surgery, particularly cholesteatoma and middle ear reconstruction.  She recently relocated to New Zealand with her family for a new work/life adventure and is enjoying the welcoming community, inspiring natural surroundings, and supportive work environment. She is looking forward to attending her first New Zealand ORL meeting and connecting with colleagues from across the country.
