New Zealand Ben is a Consultant Head and Neck surgeon in Christchurch Hospital. He completed his general otolaryngology training in New Zealand and was awarded his FRACS in 2019. Following this he completed his subspeciality fellowship training in Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology with Professor Rob Hart in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
His clinical interests include Head and Neck Surgery, in particular Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery. Having previously been heavily involved with trainee representation, Ben has a special interest in clinical teaching and trainee wellbeing, both at a medical school and junior doctor level. Outside of work, Ben is husband to his wife Jo, and father to his 2 young children, Lachie and Alexandra. He used to have hobbies. |
